Brand Identity For Thailand’s Leading Property Developer

This “SC” logo screams finance… so why does it actually work in real estate?

Pentagram created a new brand identity for SC Asset, one of Thailand’s leading residential and commercial property developers. The refreshed identity simplifies the name to ‘SC’ and introduces a typographic logo inspired by organic growth, complemented by a warm, sunrise-inspired palette and bespoke Thai typeface. The system unifies sub-brands under a cohesive visual language that balances refinement with playfulness.

Insights
  • The refreshed identity simplifies “SC Asset” down to “SC”—a move that can read “bank-like” because it’s minimal, typographic, and institutional, yet it’s intentionally softened through organic growth-inspired letterforms and a warm sunrise palette.
  • Pentagram’s core design decision was a typographic logo inspired by organic growth: refined and sophisticated at a distance, but subtly playful up close—helping a large developer feel more human without losing credibility.
  • Color does heavy lifting: the warm, sunrise-inspired palette signals optimism and livability (home, morning light, warmth), counterbalancing the potentially corporate/financial impression of a two-letter monogram.
  • A bespoke Thai typeface anchors the identity locally while keeping the system versatile across residential and commercial touchpoints—critical for a developer with many audiences and contexts.
  • The system’s biggest structural win is unifying multiple sub-brands under one cohesive visual language, creating consistency across SC’s portfolio while still allowing variation through typography and color.
