Travelling Through Cha Kwo Ling is a print publication created for The Conservancy Association Centre For Heritage in 2022. The project documents one of Hong Kong’s last surviving urban villages through oral histories, photographs, and reflections. Centered on Cha Kwo Ling’s transformation from a rural Hakka settlement into a dense urban enclave, the book captures everyday life, community bonds, resilience, and gradual disappearance under rapid urbanisation. The publication presents an intimate record of place, memory, and the human stories embedded in the city’s changing landscape.
