Nomad designed and sponsored the first official kit for Hackney Laces, a grassroots football club focused on empowering girls in East London through sport and community. Founded in 2011, Hackney Laces works with over 200 girls and women, providing them with opportunities on and off the pitch. To reflect the club's unique attitude, Nomad referenced 80’s skate/surf graphics and street culture in the kit design. The new kit not only enhances the players’ identity but also fosters a sense of belonging among members. A custom set of names and numbers was integrated into the design, emphasizing unity and giving the club a distinctive asset that links the Hackney, Limehouse, and South London communities. The collaboration embodies the spirit of grassroots football, creating a visual representation of the club's ethos.
