TT Qurdisma is a narrow, dense decorative typeface inspired by plant forms and organic ornamentation. Developed by TypeType, it combines tight spacing with true italic dynamics to create a lively, experimental character ideal for fashion, branding, and cultural applications.

TypeType’s main experiment was combining two random parameters—“tight spacing” and “true italic”—into one display face, and that collision made letters curl into ornament instead of reading like ordinary text.
The design is explicitly botanical, drawing on seaweed, ferns, succulents, and “a whimsical plant”; round characters slant more than upright ones, and the forms use winding, smooth contours to create motion.
The uppercase and lowercase were deliberately differentiated: caps have twisted forms and many loops, while lowercase repeats a calmer “arch with a ‘tentacle’ at the end of the stroke.”
TT Qurdisma ships as a single italic style with 464 glyphs, 19 OpenType features, and support for 120+ languages across Latin + Cyrillic, including Serbian localisation, oldstyle figures, fractions, ligatures, swashes, and alternate `a`/ß designs.
