Visual Identity Refresh For A Leading Socialist Magazine
Schick Toikka collaborated closely with Jacobin's in-house team and the Helsinki-based design studio Tsto to create a comprehensive visual identity. The project's focal point was the development of a typographic palette that features a customized version of the Lateral typeface. This design includes an innovative guillotine symbol that serves as both an uppercase "J" and a distinctive icon regularly associated with Jacobin's identity. The revitalization aims to enhance Jacobin's print and digital presence, facilitating better engagement with its substantial audience of 75,000 subscribers and over 3 million web visitors each month.
