Visual Identity And Website Design For Shift Ev
They branded speed like a product, not a promise.
OHMY Studio developed a dynamic visual identity and digital presence for Shift EV, an automotive company based in Cairo. The project aimed to transform the brand’s image and empower its team with a forward-looking design system that reflects innovation and momentum.
Insights- OHMY’s main challenge was to make Shift EV, a company built around speed, look and move fast too—positioning it as “fast, dynamic and unmistakably forward-facing.”
- The work wasn’t just a logo refresh: OHMY delivered a full rebrand, a modern headless website, motion/UI design, and original on-site photography shot in Egypt using the real workshop and fleet instead of stock or CGI.
- Shift EV’s proposition is unusual in the automotive space: it electrofits existing combustion vehicles with modular battery systems in hours, calling itself “The Fast Track to Electric” and claiming to be “the first company in the world to make Electrification work at scale, with modular systems and an assembly-line approach.”
- By its own account the business behind the brand is at scale: Shift EV reports 150+ technology and automotive staff, hundreds of converted vehicles with over 12 million kilometres between them, and customers including Nestle, Danone, Carrefour, Mylerz and ABS.
- The studio’s own framing was that they built “a brand that carries the pace and precision of the technology beneath it,” with credits on the case study naming Quick Hatch for strategy, Sayeed Islam for motion, and Benedict Campbell for photography.
