A Custom Typeface And Brand Image For A Carpentry Company

Studio Bruch created a brand identity system for Hea Carpentry, a joinery business established in 1951. The project centered on a newly developed custom typeface that balances opposites found in Hea’s craft: angular and round, hard and soft. Inspired by the idea that “everything is built on wood,” the font’s look and feel draws from the simplified form of a wooden board. Combined with atmospheric photography by Julius Hirtzberger, the system extends across business cards, envelopes, brochures, posters, interiors, and other applications to create a clear, high-quality, and memorable image for the company.
