In their own words
Contributors were not asked simply to design a composition for a date, but to respond to a specific colour and paper as an emotional stimulus.
Colour alone can suggest a mood, but its emotional impact changes dramatically depending on the material it sits on and the finish it carries.
Our long-term involvement has brought continuity, clarity and a strong editorial vision.
This book isn’t a portfolio in the traditional sense. Instead, it’s an exploration of Found’s approach – encompassing research, conceptual thinking and compelling visual content – offering a deeper insight into the studio’s ethos and creative process.
We agreed the book should be more than a typical portfolio – it needed to present the practice in a more thoughtful and reflective way.
Paper tells a story of its own – the colour, material and finish immediately express a certain quality and emphasise the textural side of Found’s work.
It sparks curiosity and suggests motion – like film – where opening the cover transitions from a cropped view to a dramatic, edge-to-edge vista.
It varies year to year, but generally the paper is selected in response to the creative direction and theme of the book.
What stands out the most is the harnessing of 365 creatives on one single theme.
The results really are indicative of the individuality of each mind and of each designer.
