DesignOne Consultants began as a consulting firm that provided master planning and conceptual design services primarily for community development projects. With a ‘new urbanism' approach, DesignOne implemented planning solutions that endeavored to unite life, work and recreation into interconnected community settings. In 2003, sensing a discontinuity between the master planning solutions we offered our clients and the architectural solutions they were getting elsewhere, DesignOne closed the gap by forming an in-house architecture studio and began providing comprehensive architectural design as part of our services. With its master planning and architectural expertise, DesignOne Consultants has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clientele on varying sizes and types of developments. They include large concept master plans and final master planned communities, commercial and retail business parks, age restricted retirement communities and assisted living facilities, complete entitlement services, mixed use and multi-family communities, custom single family homes, additions and renovations to existing structures and space planning for tenant improvement projects.

Today, under the ownership and direction of Carl Cross, AIA, DesignOne Consultants continues to provide professional planning, architecture, and 3-D computer modeling services. We look forward to each client and project being unique, and we take pride in listening to the individual ideas, needs and goals presented by our clientele and finding the best architectural solutions to fit the client's parameters – not ours. It is our strong belief that successful architectural design and planning is best achieved by means of thorough owner/architect communication and a collaborative design process.
